NEW RELEASE: The Folkaltones – Tuning Up

Miriam and Hal are pleased to anounce the release of their first CD together,
The Folkaltones’ Tuning Up. A six-track EP, the disc includes
songs by Carla, Richard Thompson, and Lowen and Navarro, as well as traditional
Irish gems, both vocal and intrumental. Samples can be heard by clicking

Propinquity: The CD
It's not the
first record album on which Carla appeared, but it's as close as you'll
ever find. Re-released after 34 years, this is the sole album by Propinquity,
Carla's first touring group. The 12-song album has been expanded to 16,
with two previously unreleased tracks. Well worth checking out!

With
songs derived from Eastern European, Sephardi, and Middle Eastern sources,
Los Lantzmun performs in a contemporary style with a driving percussive
backbeat. Singing in Hebrew, Yiddish, and Ladino (Judeo-Spanish), Los Lantzmun
infuses traditional Jewish music with a modern sensibility.
